They write about characters who are free of history, with no origins or destinations, who don't learn, have insights, make decisions or resolve difficulties. One strength of the book is its discussion of point of view,dialogue,setting and planning with concrete examples. Dealing with is writers block is an interesting chapter." All writers are ‘blocked’ from time to time. The reasons for it include a failure of nerve, domestic and personal upheavals, fear of rejection, boredom, insufficient preparation and miscalculating the scope of an idea.
